Itinerary
Day 1: NJP Railway station /Bagdogra Airport to Darjeeling
Once you arrive at Bagdogra Airport or NJP Railway Station, our representative will greet you and take you to Darjeeling.
Enjoy the scenic drive through winding roads with beautiful views of the Himalayas, green valleys, and tea gardens.
After reaching Darjeeling, check in to your hotel and relax.
In the evening, you can take a stroll along Mall Road, explore local shops, and pick up souvenirs or handmade crafts.
Stay overnight at your hotel in Darjeeling.
Day 2: Darjeeling Full Day Sightseeing
Start your day early around 4 AM for a beautiful experience.
Head to Tiger Hill to witness the stunning sunrise lighting up Mt. Kanchenjunga and nearby peaks.
After breakfast, continue your sightseeing tour:
Visit the Batasia Loop (Army Memorial) for amazing 360-degree views of Darjeeling and the surrounding mountains.
Explore the peaceful Ghoom Monastery, home to a 15-foot Maitreya Buddha statue made with clay brought from Tibet.
Head to the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursdays) and see Tenzing Rock to learn about India’s mountaineering history.
Visit Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (closed on Thursdays) and spot the rare Red Panda.
Take a relaxing walk through the tea gardens to learn how the famous Darjeeling tea is made.
See the Japanese Temple and Peace Pagoda, showcasing four forms of Lord Buddha and offering great views of the Kanchenjunga range.
End your day at the Tibetan Refugee Centre where you can shop for handmade crafts made by the local Tibetan community.
Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Darjeeling.
Day 3: Darjeeling to Gangtok
After breakfast, begin your drive to Gangtok.
Enjoy the scenic beauty along the way, especially the stunning views of the Teesta River.
Once you reach Gangtok, check in to your hotel and relax for the day.
If time allows, you can go for optional local sightseeing at an extra cost:
Visit beautiful waterfalls like Ban Jhakri Falls, Lhasa Waterfalls, and Bakthang Waterfalls.
Experience peace and calm at Dro-Dul Chorten Monastery, where monks chant prayers.
Head to Ganesh Tok and Hanuman Tok for breathtaking views of Gangtok and a spiritual vibe.
In the evening, take a stroll on MG Marg, the popular street in Gangtok, where you can shop for souvenirs and try local Sikkimese food.
Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel in Gangtok.
Day 4: Gangtok Excursion Tour
After a delicious breakfast, get ready to explore some beautiful places around Gangtok.
Start your day with a visit to the famous Tsomgo Lake, also known as Changu Lake. This glacial lake is known for its changing colors, and monks once used it to predict the future.
Next, visit Baba Mandir, a sacred place dedicated to a soldier whose spirit is believed to protect troops in the tough mountain areas of the Eastern Himalayas.
If you wish, you can also visit Nathula Pass* (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays) at an extra cost. It’s a key mountain pass on the India-China border and offers incredible views.
After sightseeing, head back to Gangtok and rest at your hotel for the night.
Day 5: Gangtok to Kalimpong
After enjoying a hearty breakfast at the hotel, board your transfer to Kalimpong.
Kalimpong is a lesser-known hill station with a rich history from ancient times to British India, which is why it has many monasteries and colonial buildings.
When you arrive, check in to your hotel and then start your sightseeing in Kalimpong.
Begin with the Kalimpong Science Center, which has an observatory, a 3D movie theater, and many indoor and outdoor displays.
Make a quick photo stop at the Army Golf Course and enjoy the beautiful views around.
Visit the Pine View Nursery to see the largest collection of cacti in Asia.
Next, go to Deolo and Durpin Dara viewpoints to enjoy wide, panoramic views of Kalimpong and the nearby Teesta River.
You will also visit the Zang Dhok Palri Phodang Monastery, which was blessed by the Dalai Lama and is located on Durpin Dara hill.
After a day full of sightseeing, return to your hotel in Kalimpong for an overnight stay.
Day 6: Kalimpong to Bagdogra Airport/ NJP Station
After enjoying a filling breakfast, check out from the hotel and get ready for your journey to NJP Station or Bagdogra Airport (IXB).
Your tour comes to an end as you’re dropped off for your onward journey.
